- American Kinesiology Association defines kinesiology as the academic discipline which involves the study of physical activity and its impact on health, society, and quality of life. the AKA purpose is to promote and enhance kinesiology as a unified field of study and advance its many applications.
- American Kinesiotherapy Association
- The mission of the American Kinesiotherapy Association is to promote Kinesiotherapy and improve recognition of the profession through the pursuit of legislation and public relations. The AKTA will serve the interests of its members and will work to enhance the standard of care provided by Kinesiotherapists through educational opportunities.
- Canadian Association of Specialized Kinesiology (CanASK)
- The Canadian Association of Specialized Kinesiology (CanASK), has been created to provide a professional organization to support the education of ordinary lay people and health care professionals who value Specialized Kinesiology as a tool for promoting self-care, well-being, and preventative health. Its intent is to support our common interests in Specialized Kinesiology and to honour the differences in our chosen modalities.
- Canadian Kinesiology Alliance/Alliance Canadienne de Kinésiologie (CKA/ACK)
- The CKA/ACK is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes the advancement of and advocates the profession of Kinesiology in Canada.
The CKA/ACK nationally advocates for our members by developing progressive partnerships with other national organizations, providing national support to effect positive change within government and public policy, and promoting the science of Kinesiology. The CKA/ACK advances our members through facilitation of national and inter-provincial communication and partnerships and through support and encouragement for on-going provincial association development. The CKA/ACK will establish and promote the national standard for our members.
